Master scholarships

The Université Grenoble Alpes Alpes, through its PERSYVAL Laboratory of Excellence (LabEx), is offering Master's 2 scholarships to attract excellent candidates for the second year of its Masters courses in the PERSYVAL disciplines: Computer Science, Automatic Control, Mathematics and Signal Processing.

This €8,000 scholarship is intended to support excellent students whose income is insufficient to cover their expenses and who would like to obtain a Master's degree from the Université Grenoble Alpes and then apply for a PhD program in one of PERSYVAL's partner laboratories. A maximum of 8 scholarships are awarded per academic year.  

To be eligible, candidates must be accepted into one of the Master's programs listed below:

• Master of Science in Informatics at Grenoble (MoSIG)
• Master of Science in Industrial and Applied Math (MSIAM)
• Cybersecurity (CySec)
• Master in Systems, Control and Information Technologies (MiSCIT)
• Signal & ImaGe processing Methods & Applications (SIGMA)
• Operations Research, Combinatorics and Optimization (ORCO)
• Master TSI - Mobile, Autonomous and Robotic Systems (MARS)
• Fundamental Mathematics
• Master's degree in Microelectronics Integration of Real-Time and Embedded Systems (MISTRE)
• International Master's in Embedded Systems Security - IMESS (formerly MISTRE)
• Master's degree in Statistics and Data Science (SSD)

Important information:

• Students interested in the scholarship need only apply to the desired Master's program, following its specific procedure.
• Students who are not accepted to the desired Master's program are not eligible for the scholarship.
• PERSYVAL scholarships will be selected in early June.
• PERSYVAL scholarship winners will be notified in mid-June.

Terms and conditions

• Master 2 courses comprise 2 semesters: approximately 5 months of classes (September to January) and 5 months of internships (February to June).
• The scholarship is allocated for 2 semesters (4000€ each semester).
  Following registration for the Master's program (end of August/September), 800€ x 5 months will be allocated for the 1st semester.
  In January, each student must confirm that he/she will carry out his/her internship in one of PERSYVAL's partner laboratories.
  The scholarship can then be paid out for the 2nd semester (€800 x 5 months).
  If the student does not complete his/her internship in one of PERSYVAL's partner laboratories, the scholarship cannot be maintained for the 2nd semester. (The student will therefore receive a total of €4000 for the 1st semester, instead of the €8000 provided for the academic year).

There is no specific application form for the PERSYVAL Excellence Scholarship. Applications are made via the applications for the desired Masters courses.
