On Friday, December 14, 2012, the LabEx PERSYVAL was officially inaugurated during Digital Sciences Day in Grenoble, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Research.
The event, which drew more than 300 people, served as an opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Grenoble-based mathematician Jean Kuntzmann, to officially launch the LabEx PERSYVAL, and to convene the second scientific advisory board of the LabEx AMIES.

- Commemorative screening on Jean Kuntzmann, introduced by Eric Bonnetier, director of the Jean Kuntzmann Laboratory.
- Presentation of the Labex by Marie-Christine Rousset, Scientific Coordinator.
