Call for proposals for Research Initiatives in Grenoble Alpes (IRGA)

From 2012 to 2017, PERSYVAL funded exploratory projects. Since 2018, PERSYVAL has been contributing to "exploratory and emerging projects" by participating in the IRS call: Strategic Research Initiative. In 2020, these IRS initiatives were renamed IRGA: Research Initiatives in Grenoble Alpes. In 2025, a restricted call for proposals will be organized for postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students.

The LabEx's research areas and leadership are represented on the proposal evaluation committee established by the MSTIC research cluster (Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies).

Objectives

• Promote high-risk, high-impact research; identify, at a very early stage, fundamental or innovative research that could lead to conceptual or technological breakthroughs;
• To facilitate the launch of projects with national or international scope;
• Contribute to the scientific policy and the socioeconomic and cultural impact of the Grenoble site;
• To facilitate streamlining and responsiveness for research projects originating from UGA laboratories.

Three funding mechanisms

• Exploratory and emerging projects,
• Financial support for the organization of scientific events,
• Hosting international visiting scientists for short-term laboratory stays

Applications may be submitted at any time on an ongoing basis.
