Initiatives de Recherche à Grenoble Alpes (IRGA) call for proposals

From 2012 to 2017, PERSYVAL funded exploratory projects. Since 2018, PERSYVAL has contributed to "exploratory and emerging projects" by joining the IRS (Strategic Research Initiative) call. In 2020, these IRS were renamed IRGA: Grenoble Alpes Research Initiatives. In 2025, a restricted call will be organized for post-doctoral and doctoral researchers.

The LabEx's axes and management are represented on the proposal evaluation committee set up by the MSTIC research pole (Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies).

Objectives

• Promote high-risk, high-impact research, identifying at a very early stage fundamental or innovative research that could generate conceptual or technological breakthroughs;
• Encourage the initiation of projects of national or international scale;
• Contribute to the scientific policy and socio-economic and cultural impact of the Grenoble area;
• Enable simplification and responsiveness for research projects originating from UGA laboratories.

Three funding mechanisms

• Exploratory and emerging projects,
• Financial support for organizing scientific events,
• Hosting international visiting scientists for short laboratory stays

Applications can be submitted at any time on a rolling basis.
