Event-Driven Monitoring and Sampling

Exploratory project

The goal of this research is to develop new strategies tailored to low-power consumption to ensure that a controlled system can utilize non-uniform sampling to minimize energy consumption while maintaining control performance, specifically robustness, accuracy, and stability.

To achieve this result using a practical example, it is necessary to break down the various tasks required to accomplish it. The challenges to be addressed are therefore numerous: filtering algorithms (correctors), systems controlled by non-uniform sampling, hardware implementations, defining a suitable architecture (algorithm-architecture-technology alignment), designing a system with an asynchronous control circuit, and evaluating the results in terms of accuracy and power consumption.

The project will last two years.
