Platform, Robotics and Vision

CerViCale (Resource Center for Vision and Embedded Computing), hosted by FabMSTIC, provides educational resources for embedded computer vision.

Resources include cameras and embedded computers such as the popular Raspberry Pi, for low-cost prototyping and embedded solutions, as well as the exciting Nvidia Jetson TX2 embedded GPU, which delivers over 1.5 teraflops of performance.

CerVicale also provides educational materials such as how-to guides, labs, and hands-on training.

In order to meet most computer vision needs and align with current industry standards, the technical materials are provided in Python code.

The available equipment (150 Raspberry Pi units with cameras, 10 Nvidia Jetson TX2 units with cameras as of 2017) is available upon request to laboratory instructors as well as FabMSTIC users who require embedded computing.
