Platform, Fablab
REGIS (Feedback and Stereoscopic Image Generation) is used to complement the Ensimag fablab.
AIHM (Human-Machine Interaction Workshop)
The fablab provides students with the technical resources to experiment with new forms of computing. Students work in small groups (4–5 students) on topics of their own choosing. They can prototype virtual extensions of the physical environment, new forms of human-computer interaction such as immersive 3D, tangible and gesture-based interaction, and large interactive surfaces.
This funding makes it possible to provide students with new equipment for haptic feedback experiments (Phantom Omni) and visual immersion using 3D stereo rendering (high-speed projector, high-speed, high-resolution screen, shutter glasses, and depth cameras for tracking).
