Showroom

Platform, Robotics and Vision

The showroom is dedicated to robotics, simulation, and computer graphics.

It is located in a large room in the UFRIM2AGbuilding. State-of-the-art equipment is available, including modern PCs with GPUs, Kinect motion capture devices, Mindstorms robotics kits, a high-end stereo camera, and a workstation dedicated to simulation. Current and planned activities include autonomous robotics with environmental perception, the simulation of a deformable surface and 3D tracking of its actual shape, real-time tracking and reconstruction of human movement and its visualization with data overlay, the exploration of large scientific datasets using 3D displays, 3D anatomical reconstruction from medical images, and the virtualization of real-world objects using a 3D scanner.
