The terms “Big Data” and “Artificial Intelligence” refer to two fields that are the focus of intense attention and effort, while also giving rise to certain “fantasies”—some born of fear, others of hope.
While artificial intelligence solutions are not new, they have experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by the rise of big data—which has led to the availability of massive amounts of diverse data of all kinds—as well as increasingly powerful machine learning algorithms capable of analyzing that data, thanks to advances in computing and mathematics.
The purpose of this session is to provide insights that will help participants better understand the various aspects of Big Data and the main approaches to Artificial Intelligence, and to enable them to better align these concepts with specific application needs based on the volume and type of data produced or available.

Gaining a Better Understanding of R&D Challenges
LabEx PERSYVAL and Minalogic are launching a series of regular meetings between academics and industry professionals on topics with significant societal impact within PERSYVAL-Lab’s area of expertise. The chosen format is a series of breakfast meetings on the Saint-Martin-d'Hères campus, scheduled for Tuesday mornings, featuring accessible presentations by experts on the selected topic, followed by a time for exchange and discussion.
The purpose of these meetings is to:
